The use and sharing of personally identifiable and non-personally identifiable information with third parties

By using eCoach basic, the user explicitly agrees that twingz will have the right to use all automatically collected personally identifiable information. twingz does not pass on personally identifiable to third parties, except as required by law or with the explicit consent of the user. twingz implements all reasonable measures to prevent the unauthorized access by third parties to the saved details.

The twingz account

twingz collects information from users when creating a twingz account. This is done by completing the information required in the registration form of the eCoach Basic app. The purpose of the data collection is optimizing the experience of our users. The information is stored on our servers. The data is used only within the twingz environment and it is not accessible by third parties.

The collected and stored information contains: a (freely eligible) username, a password, the access key of the account related hardware and an email address. The data regarding the energy consumption at an appliance level and meta information will also be stored. The information helps us to analyse and provide tips and recommendations on how to make energy consumption efficient. Personally identifiable information will be saved and used in particular in order to inform the user of new twingz applications.

Plugins and social media widgets

1. The twingz.com Platform includes social media plugins, such as (i) Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, and (ii) Twitter, 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA.

2. The plugins can recognize a user’s IP address and the page visited on the twingz.com platform, and, possibly, store cookies, so that the services offered by twingz work properly. Social media plugins and widgets are hosted either by third party providers or directly by us. Your interactions with these plugins are subject to this privacy policy or the privacy policy of any third party that offers such feature. twingz is not responsible for the use of, or guidelines regarding the use of, personal data by third party providers.

If a user interacts with the plugins, e. g. by clicking on the Facebook “Like-Button” or entering a comment, while being logged in to such user’s Social Media-account on Facebook, or Twitter, a user links the contents of the twingz pages to her respective social media-profile. Thereby, Facebook/Twitter can associate a user’s visit of the twingz page with such user’s social media-account. twingz as the provider of the twingz.com platform does not have any knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its usage by Facebook, or Twitter. Google Analytics

The twingz.com platform uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses ‘cookies’) The information about visits collected by the cookies, including your IP address, is usually transferred to a Google server.

Cookies

Cookies are pieces of information stored by browsers on the user’s computer. twingz may use cookies to recognize a user when visiting the website again. Cookies offer the possibility of gathering information about the use of our services and of improving them. Our cookies supply information regarding personal identification. It is possible to modify the browser’s settings in order not to receive any cookies.

Use of data for email newsletter sign up

When signing up to the twingz newsletter, we use the data to send updated information about our products and services. It is possible to unsubscribe at any moment. It can be done by sending a mail to media[at]twingz.com or via a link provided in the newsletter.

Access to information

Users have the right to access any information that we hold relating them.
